iTunes 7.1

MORE? Oh man. I stopped using iTunes after I mistakenly installed it when I first got my iPod. As soon as I found the winamp plugin (now built in) I axed iTunes. It just loves to have control of everything. It’s hard enough having every program I install want to auto update itself, nevermind ones that always take over my file associations.

One of the new features makes me laugh. I don’t know when it was first introduced but the “Full-Screen Cover Flow” gets a big two thumbs down. In full-screen mode you are able to look at album covers, with VOLUME AND TRACK CONTROLS BUILT IN! Maybe I am not the kind of person that can appreciate looking at album covers. I usually buy music for my ears, not for my eyes. I’ll stick to winamp, it’s small, and plays music. I like music. Music = Goodness.

Anyway, I can’t believe people still use it. It’s only cause it’s bundled with it. Maybe that’s why people still use Windows Media Player. If they tried GOM Player or Winamp they might be surprised that there are other options out there.

Let’s cross our fingers for the best.
